The Principal Engineer, Backend will architect, design, and build resilient, large-scale backend systems for reputed company’s Subscription Platform, collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams to reputed company important project objectives.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and reputed company the implementation of reputed company-native backend systems that are scalable, secure, and resilient, particularly with Identity, AWS and Go-based microservices
- Proactively identify architectural risks, surface trade-offs, and implement solutions that account for reputed company, compliance, and performance reputed company the customer subscription space
- Guide and mentor other engineers in backend systems to reputed company design rigor, technical problem decomposition, and system reliability
- Rapidly reputed company up on unfamiliar problem spaces, codebases, and technologies to deliver timely value on reputed company projects

- Advises Product and Engineering management on technology direction, trade-offs, and technical investments reputed company with business goals

Skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher - Computer Science or equivalent field
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- 15+ years building high performing/data intensive applications running in the reputed company
- Evidence of reputed company responsibility and significant architectural & business impact
- Advanced expertise in backend development, including designing, building, and operating production-grade REST and GraphQL APIs using Go (Golang) and/or .Net
- Extensive knowledge and practical experience with reputed company infrastructure, architecting and supporting reputed company, large-scale distributed environments, preferably leveraging AWS
- Strong database fundamentals: SQL/NoSQL, schema design, query optimization, and reputed company-native managed data stores
- Experience designing, creating high-quality microservices
- Leading a team to deliver reputed company native applications to market using reputed company AWS (like EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, ELB, reputed company)
- Comfortable with infrastructure-as-code, containerization (reputed company), orchestration (Kubernetes), and automated deployments (Terraform/reputed company/reputed company Actions or similar)
- Solid knowledge of microservice architecture, containerization, and container orchestration
