Position Summary

FORM is looking for a Sales Engineer with a positive attitude, team player mindset, and a strong willingness to learn. The Sales Engineer will design solutions using our SaaS platform, articulate technology, and position solutions to both business and technical users. Additionally, the SE will be responsible for architecting and designing solutions aimed at integrating FORM’s products with the customers’ technical infrastructure, as well as designing integration solutions based on the customer business and technical requirements. They will be working regularly with different departments, specifically Sales, Professional Services, and Product Management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Consult B2B customers on technical and functional aspects of our product.
  • Articulate and demonstrate FORM products and value statements at a detailed level.
  • Build functional PoCs to demonstrate relevant product functionality and applicability of the form.com product against the customer use case. Many versions of the PoC may be built to accommodate the depth of project scope development.
  • Creating/coordination of creating any other supporting material for demos/meetings (presentations, videos, proposals, solution architecture diagrams, etc.).
  • Analyze, translate, and document business information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions that achieve the desired business objectives.
  • Lead and/or support pre-sales requirements gathering, demos, and consultation both virtually and on-site at our customers’ premises.
  • Collaborate with Sales Execs, Account Managers, and Project Managers to ensure effective project knowledge transfer on each stage of client onboarding.
  • Coordinate technical and other resources as appropriate to nurture deal through sales process and assist in quote, proposal, RFI response, and other documentation.
  • Research and maintain knowledge in emerging technologies and solutions to solve current and future business and technical challenges.

  • Strong presentation skills, with ability to explain solutions, provide alternatives, escalate as needed, and have difficult conversations at executive levels.
  • Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects with multiple deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
  • Working knowledge of SaaS/Cloud hosting architecture.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding/experience of key concepts and terminologies for common SDLC (i.e. Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Nice to have: Prior experience in a sales/pre-sales support role with SaaS solutions in the B2B environment.

Technical Experience:

  • Working knowledge and proficiency working with:
  • SOAP and/or Restful APIJavaScriptXMLJSONCSS and HTML SFTP and other file exchange protocolsSingle Sign On protocols (SAML, OAuth)Encryption fundamentalsExperience with code documentation (i.e. sequence diagrams, UML diagrams, ability to create sample files)
  • Experience and knowledge of the combination of frontend, middleware and backend solution architecture.
