We’re looking for a skilled and motivatedSenior Software Engineerto join Fairmatic and work closely with our teams in Tel Aviv and India for a 6-month initial contract.

In this role, you’ll design, build, and maintain scalable systems that power our claims experience — a critical part of our customer value proposition.

We want to speak to both front-end and back-end experts - but ideally you'll have exposure to full-stack engineering.

The ideal candidate is a product-minded engineer with strong experience in both front-end and back-end development, particularly withPythonandReact.

A day in the life

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using modern technologies
  • Lead the design and implementation of robust, efficient technical solutions
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to deliver responsive and engaging user interfaces
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs across bothserverless and traditional architectures
  • Ensure performance, security, and cross-browser compatibility across applications
  • Promote high engineering standards and mentor junior team members
  • Work closely with global cross-functional teams including Product, Data, and Business
  • What you will need

  • 5+ years of hands-on full-stack development experience
  • BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred; Angular or Vue also welcome)
  • Solid backend experience, with a preference forPython(Node.jsor Ruby also a plus)
  • Experience working with cloud platforms and distributed systems (AWS is a strong plus)
  • Proven track record delivering production-grade applications
  • Deep understanding of databases, APIs, and web technologies
  • Proficiency with GenAI tools (e.g., GitHub Co-pilot, ChatGPT, Cursor etc.) to boost productivity, plus a growth mindset around continuously improving personal and team efficiency through AI
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with bothserverless (e.g., AWS Lambda)andnon-serverless architectures
  • Background in insurance or related industries
  • Comfort working with remote, distributed teams across time zones
