What will you do?

As a Staff Engineer - Platform at Atlan, you will:

  1. Lead the development of a secure, scalable platform for enterprise customers across industries like financial services and healthcare.

  2. Solve complex challenges in metadata management, enabling reporting, analytics, and ML training.

  3. Architect and implement solutions like a large-scale metadata graph, OLAP-ready lakehouse, and vector capabilities.

  4. Own and lead Engineering Excellence for the Platform.

  5. Build and Drive observability, improvements and cost optimization while ensuring robust security.

  6. Collaborate with globally distributed teams and mentor engineers to cultivate excellence.

What makes you a match?

  1. Over 10+ years of experience building distributed and scalable systems across domains like retail, developer products, and smart devices.

  2. You are proficient in Go or Java, and you write clean, well-documented code that stands the test of time.

  3. You have experience managing Kubernetes clusters and ensuring enterprise-grade security across cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or GCP.

  4. You excel at API design and management for large-scale platforms.

  5. You embrace a cost and security-first mindset, always looking for ways to optimize and secure systems.

  6. You’re passionate about working on industry-leading innovations, such as building the world’s largest metadata graph.

  7. You value transparency and accountability, thriving in a culture of rapid iteration, timely feedback, and a build fast-fail fast approach.

  8. You’re a collaborative team player who thrives in globally distributed teams and values customer-first problem solving.
