Responsibilities ??Prepare income tax accruals under various accounting bases, including IFRS (IAS 12), and as applicable, US GAAP (ASC 740) or insurance statutory (SSAP 101) accounting basis. ??Handle quarterly and annual federal and state income tax calculations and related filings. ??Prepare and review required financial statement analytics. ??Manage federal and state tax examinations and notice responses, including tracking, research, coordination, and formulation. ??Document significant tax positions and create work-papers supporting tax filings and income tax accruals. ??Assist in budgeting and preparing tax-related financial projections. ??Foster effective communication and collaboration with various departments, external auditors, and service providers. ??Conduct ad hoc tax research and documentation. ??Undertake special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications ??Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) in Accounting and/or a Master's in Taxation. ??Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred. ??2-4 years of experience in accounting for income taxes (IFRS or US GAAP) and tax return compliance. ??Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.). ??Results-driven with excellent execution skills. What Sets You Apart ??Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. ??Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities. ??Previous experience in financial services and/or insurance tax and statutory accounting is preferred. ??Familiarity with SAP and/or Corptax is an advantage.
