Hybrid remote in Washington State onlyPosted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.Job Summary:
Responsible for accurate payment and adjustment posting on accounts billed by the EvergreenHealth Professional Billing department.Primary Duties:
1. Accurately enter, balance, post payments and contractual allowances in a timely manner.
2. Performs other duties as assigned.License, Certification, Education or Experience:REQUIRED for the position:
● High School graduate or equivalent.
● Demonstrated problem solving ability.
● Ten-key by touchDESIRED for the position:
● College degree/Vocational training in billing or business
●1 year previous experience in professional billing
● Knowledge and experience in working with health care insurers' and their reimbursement systems , especially Medicare, Medicaid, Workers Compensation, Motor Vehicle and contract payers.
● A good understanding of CPT, Modifiers, HCPC, ICD-9 codes and medical terminologies.Benefit Information:
