Data Support Specialist - State Reporting Data Entry

Position Description:Individuals in this position monitor, enter, transmit, and report on the data collected in the agency's Electronic Health Record system. Provides operational and consultation support to field and professional staff.Minimum Training and Experience:
  • A high school diploma or GED and at least two (2) years of data entry or clerical experience are required. This position requires a working knowledge of the following computer software programs or equivalent: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams. The ability to type at a rate of thirty (35) correct words per minute is required, but sixty (60) words per minute are preferred.
  • Requires the ability to work independently and to consistently exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • The ability to manage and process high volumes of data accurately.
  • Attention to detail and ability to concentrate for extended periods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Advises EHR Data Coordinator and unit staff regarding any operational problems with Credible system.
  • Gathers, collates, and prepares documents, materials, and information required for County, State, and Federal contracts for the purpose of data entry and/or batch upload into internal and external Electronic Health Records.
  • Gathers and enters persons served information into State Reporting forms such as the Admission, Performance Outcome and Discharge according to the state's contractual requirements and Tri-County policy and procedures.
  • Creates and maintains reports for tracking all required due dates for State Reporting documentation such as Admissions, Performance Outcomes and Discharges.
  • Communicates with clinical staff and supervisors regarding State Reporting errors or any discrepancies.
  • Monitor and respond to IT Help Desk Tickets as needed.
  • Keep information confidential.
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies.
  • Ensure proper use of office equipment and report any issues at time of occurrence.
  • This position qualifies for short and long-term telecommuting.
  • Performs other reasonable and related duties as assigned.
