Level 1 IT Technician

Job Description

Andromeda is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Level 1 Technician to join our service team. You’ll be a key player in providing fast and efficient support to clients. As part of our 10–12-person service department, you’ll handle a variety of technical tasks, primarily answering live calls, managing ticketing systems, and addressing common technical issues. If you're eager to grow your IT skills while maintaining excellent customer service, this role is perfect for you! About You Experience: A background in IT, either through classroom training or previous work experience. You’re comfortable with basic troubleshooting and familiar with the basics of network and system administration. Location: Local to the Lockport, IL area, two days a week in the office and three days’ work from home will be required. Monthly meetings in the office are also required. Responsibilities:

  • Answering live calls within a 15-minute cap and resolving issues or escalating them to the next-level technician if needed.
  • Performing basic troubleshooting tasks from email or portal tickets.
  • Managing all alerts via the ConnectWise ticketing system.
  • Collaborating with your team for support and growth opportunities.

Skills Needed:

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Server Operating Systems (2008-2019) and Workstation Operating Systems (XP to Windows 11).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and Adobe software (Tech Support).
  • Knowledge of hardware, software, and devices for layers 1, 2, and 3.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to handle customer interactions with professionalism.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize alerts through the ConnectWise ticketing system.
