Position Summary: The Healthcare Interoperability SME is responsible for driving the success of health information exchange initiatives. This role involves providing technical expertise, customer support, process improvement, and project management to ensure seamless data exchange across healthcare systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Provide in-depth knowledge of health data exchange architecture and interoperability standards.
  • Customer Support: Assist healthcare organizations in implementing and optimizing interoperability solutions.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and refine operational processes for data exchange.
  • Project Management: Lead and coordinate projects related to interoperability initiatives.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct testing and validation of interoperability solutions to ensure compliance and functionality.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate and lead QA efforts related to operational changes.
  • Perform customer onboarding and support, including testing and resolving interface issues.
  • Engage in technical working sessions with various stakeholders.
  • Maintain documentation and tracking of customer onboarding processes.
  • Develop and document user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8+ years in healthcare IT, with a focus on interoperability.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills. Proficiency in interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, and CDA.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with health information exchange (HIE) organizations.
  • Knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information for non-technical stakeholders.
