Distinguished Engineer MarTech and Ads Engineering (Remote)

About the position The Distinguished Engineer role at GEICO MarTech and Adsanization focuses on building high-scale, high-performance platforms to drive the transformation of the insurance business. This position emphasizes engineering excellence, psychological safety, and continuous improvement, requiring collaboration with various teams to innovate and enhance systems while leading the technical roadmap for product delivery. Responsibilities ? Provide technical leadership to the MarTech and Adsanization areas. , ? Collaborate with product managers, team members, customers, and other engineering teams to solve complex problems. , ? Develop and execute technical software development strategies across various domains. , ? Ensure the quality, usability, and performance of solutions. , ? Utilize programming languages such as Java, React, GraphQL, Python, SQL, and NoSQL databases, along with container orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes. , ? Mentor and coach engineering and product community members to strengthen technical expertise. , ? Influence and educate leadership at all levels regarding technical strategies. , ? Implement best practices and improve processes within and across teams. , ? Analyze costs and forecasts, incorporating them into business plans. , ? Support resource requirements and evaluate operational processes to ensure desired outcomes. Requirements ? Fluency and specialization with Java, React, and GraphQL. , ? Experience building products with micro-services oriented architecture and extensible REST APIs. , ? Experience with AI and ML technologies including MLflow, PyTorch, and VectorDBs. , ? Experience in architecture and design of new and existing systems, including design patterns and reliability. , ? Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code. , ? Fluency in DevOps concepts, cloud architecture, and Azure DevOps operational framework. , ? Experience with Azure Portal and application monitoring tools. , ? In-depth knowledge of data structures and algorithms in computer science. , ? Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. , ? Track record of publications in credible conferences and journals. Nice-to-haves ? Experience with AWS, GCP, or other cloud services. , ? Experience in open-source frameworks. , ?
