Commercial Construction Superintendent

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of construction processes, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders. Responsibilities • Supervise daily construction activities and manage on-site personnel to ensure project milestones are met. • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop and maintain project schedules. • Review schematics and blueprints to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations. • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and enforce OSHA safety standards. • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. • Maintain accurate project documentation including contracts, change orders, and daily reports using Prolog and other project management software. • Facilitate communication between clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. • Implement quality control measures to ensure all work meets industry standards. Skills • Strong understanding of project scheduling techniques and pipeline management. • Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints effectively. • Excellent supervisory skills with a proven track record of managing teams in a construction environment. • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. • Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail in contract management. • Effective communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders involved in the construction process.
