Underwriting Performance Analyst (Hybrid)

Position Compensation Range Pay Rate Type: Salary Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates. The Underwriting Performance Analyst will support projects and initiatives focused on understanding performance from a book perspective as well as from Operations perspective. You will provide the organization with progress of UW initiatives and identify and address class/ segment performance issues inclusive of profit and growth findings. You will report to the Senior Manager, Underwriting Performance. In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Denver, CO 80112; Eden Prairie, MN 55343; Keene, NH 03431; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034 Internal candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of location and will be considered based upon the needs of the role. Relocation assistance is available to eligible candidates Production UW Consultant - Underwriting Performance • You will conduct analysis to improve the efficiency of underwriting operations and underwriting performance trends • You will develop metrics and analyze underwriting data to make recommendations that impact profitability trends • You will research individual policies to support and resolve problems identified through data analysis • You will develop reports and narrative for utilization during strategic business unit meetings. • You will acquire, summarize, and create visualizations for data necessary to support analysis. Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements • Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, quantitative and analytical skills. • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service. • Demonstrated experience making underwriting decisions. • Knowledge and understanding of property and casualty insurance practices, standards, and concepts. • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and influence others. • Basic knowledge of data and reporting tools • Basic knowledge of data environments and data environment use. • Demonstrated analytical skills We encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all of the requirements listed above.
