About the position The Transport, Logistics, and Automotive (TLA) sector within ING Wholesale Banking is focused on developing corporate and investment banking business across these sectors globally. The team in the Americas, based in New York, is responsible for providing wholesale banking solutions, including financing, advisory services, and transaction services to clients in the TLA sectors. This role involves supporting senior team members in the origination and structuring of financing solutions, with a strong emphasis on the Auto, Shipping, Intermodal Transportation, Rail, and Logistics sectors. Responsibilities • Support MDs, Directors, and VPs in the TLA Team in the origination and structuring of financing solutions. , • Onboard clients/borrowers and conduct KYC processes. , • Perform industry and market analysis to identify new financing opportunities. , • Prepare pitches and presentations for new financing opportunities, capital structuring, or M&A transactions. , • Draft greenlight memos, credit summaries, and written documentation for new lending transactions. , • Use financial models to prepare or review financial projections and sensitivity analyses. , • Review due diligence materials and participate in the credit application process. , • Assist in maintaining industry and market intelligence databases. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Math. , • 4-5 years of relevant project/corporate finance experience ideally in Transportation, Logistics, or Automotive. , • Strong academic track record from a top school. , • Solid math and analytical skills essential. , • Strong written and oral communication skills. , • Highly detail-oriented and accurate. , • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. , • Proficiency in MS Office, especially outstanding Excel skills for building financial models. , • Fundamental understanding of GAAP accounting principles and core financial statements. , • Basic understanding of corporate and bankruptcy law. Nice-to-haves • Experience with pitching materials and PowerPoint presentations. , • Microsoft Excel Series 79/63 or commitment to obtain within 6 months of joining.
