For immediate consideration, please email your updated resume to The Reinsurance Accountant will play a crucial role in the cash accounting team, focusing on the Latin American and Caribbean regions. Job Responsibilities: Monitor, collect, and reconcile cash receipts for treaty account balances. Collect facultative business account balances and collaborate with underwriters to resolve discrepancies. Analyze treaty results and their impact on overall financials to provide valuable insights for management. Monitor and manage accounts receivable/payable by generating monthly trial balance reports to verify and confirm balances with clients/brokers. Understand and improve accounting processes and controls to enhance efficiency. Collaborate with personnel from other departments to achieve company goals. Skills & Qualifications: 2+ years of reinsurance or insurance experience as an accountant Written and oral fluency in both English and Spanish REQUIRED Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field REQUIRED Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) Experience working on cloud/server-based software Ability to analyze data and come up with process improvements Experience with financial reporting, general ledger, reconciliation, and financial statement reporting Work Environment: Hybrid work environment with 3 days per week (Tues-Thurs) in the office The office primarily operates in Spanish so please apply only if you feel comfortable in this environment!
