Medical Coding Specialist

At BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, our Medical Coding Specialists play an integral role in the administrative side of healthcare. We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about helping others. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in medical coding and a thorough knowledge of the ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. In addition, the candidate will have excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of medical terminology. If you have a passion for accuracy and customer service, this position may be perfect for you. Responsibilities: • Utilize ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems to accurately code medical records • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical coding and terminology • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all medical records • Interact with medical staff to clarify coding questions • Monitor coding accuracy and compliance • Utilize electronic health records systems • Maintain confidentiality of patient information • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
