Job title: Payroll / HR Assistant Company: Industrial Finishes Job description: We are pleased to share that Industrial Finishes & Systems, Inc. is seeking a part-time Payroll / HR Assistant to join our close-knit, 3-person team at our corporate office in Eugene, Oregon! This is a temporary position with the possibility of remote work. The qualified candidate will need to possess solid computer skills and proficiency in Word and Excel. Recent experience with UKG / UltiPro is a plus, as well as experience with multi-location and -state payroll. With a can-do attitude, and a heart for serving others, you will assist with daily payroll and HR functions, and serve as backup for payroll. $18.00 - 20.00 DOE Essential functions include: • Assists and acts as backup to the Payroll Specialist in processing bi-weekly payroll and related report reconciliation utilizing UKG software. • Comply with all policies, procedures, State and Federal regulations. • Acts as support to human resource software system and payroll users; addresses user issues; gathers information from users and assists Payroll Specialist with recommending best practice methods to utilize software effectively. • Works with the HR team to assist with timely and accurate completion of new hires, terminations, and all documentation needed for payroll processing. • Stays up to date through research on payroll laws, Company policies, and government regulations prior to making payroll changes and implementing payroll-related provisions. Coordinates changes with Human Resources. • Assist with preparing documents for and participating in payroll related audits, such as payroll benefits, 401K and workers compensation as directed. • Assist with processing commissions, and intermittent payroll checks; enters and maintains payroll files necessary to process payroll in compliance with federal and state reporting requirements as directed. • Assist with preparing and reconciling employee deductions, garnishments, benefits, 401k, and third-party billings as directed. • Researches and analyzes reports and payroll data as directed. • Assists HR team with administrative tasks and special projects as directed.
