About the position This position oversees the strategic direction, implementation, and ongoing management of the Stars program for Medicare Advantage, Medicare Prescription Drug, and ACA Individual Plans. The role focuses on navigating regulatory requirements, leading program initiatives, monitoring operational performance, and fostering collaboration with stakeholders to ensure program success while adhering to budget, time, and quality parameters. Responsibilities • Develop a multi-year Stars strategy that is refreshed annually and adjusted throughout the year to achieve Stars goals. , • Monitor and analyze the changing Medicare landscapes and recommend programs and policies to address the changing needs of membership related to Stars. , • Oversee and monitor the implementation of new Medicare and ACA Stars contractual and policy requirements, new legislation, and regulations. , • Prepare presentations and materials for professional partnering meetings, seminars, conferences, the Steering Committee, and the Board. , • Lead and mentor a matrixed team of cross-divisional internal and external stakeholders executing the strategy through programs and initiatives. Requirements • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, or Public Health. , • In lieu of a degree, 6 years in the health care delivery industry. , • Previous experience in the Medicare Stars program is preferred. , • Experience in strategic management and leadership directing substantial resources. Nice-to-haves • A thorough understanding of the Medicare Stars program is preferred. , • Demonstrated track record of leading and delegating to a team with accountability and successful achievement of financial results. , • A strong operational mindset and business acumen that adds recognizable value on matters related to the vision and strategy of the organization. , • Ability to quickly shift strategies based on evolving market conditions. , • Comfortable leading in a highly matrixed, cross-functional organization. , • Results-oriented approach to problem-solving.
