About us "Minutes Services" is a professional minute-taking service company in Virginia, United States. We are staffed with qualified minute-takers to provide minute-taking services to various corporations, condominium boards, associations, committees, government organizations, and non-profit organizations. We provide minute-taking staff for on-site and virtual meetings for various corporations across North America. We are looking for Copy Editors/Proofreaders to help us with copy editing and proofreading our meeting minutes/notes in accordance with our document templates and methodical guidelines. Responsibilities: Proofread and edit/correct the meeting minutes and meeting notes for accuracy, language, and quality, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax. Ensure that the minutes documents format and content adhere to the provided style guide in the Word or PDF document templates. Edit/correct the minutes documents format and content to match the provided style guide in the Word or PDF document templates. Verify the accuracy of the meeting minutes documents content using the provided meeting recordings, agenda, and transcripts. Identify inconsistencies, errors, and missing information in the provided meeting minutes documents. Review and edit drafts prepared by our minute takers and notetakers, making sure that the content is correct, complete, and has a consistent style. Qualification: Must be well versed in Microsoft Word, and familiar with proofreading tools like Grammarly. Must be well versed in Written English and Grammar. Experience in Copy Editing and Proofreading is required. Experience or knowledge of minute-taking or note-taking for board meetings, seminars, and conferences is a plus. Understanding of meeting/board governance and parliamentary meeting protocols (e.g. Roberts Rules) is a plus.
