Special Education Teacher - Adapted Physical Education
Blazer Jobs is seeking a full-time Adapted Physical Education (APE) Teacher in Burbank, IL. This role involves adapting curriculum and working with children aged 3 to 22 with a variety of disabilities, from mild to profound. The APE teacher will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop individualized programming. Job Responsibilities... Provide adapted fitness and health instruction to students with disabilities. Collaborate with a team to develop individualized programs for students. Adapt curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students. Evaluate and adjust instruction methods based on student progress. Qualifications: Valid and registered Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a degree in Physical Education. At least one course in Adapted Physical Education required. Experience working with special needs students preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply. Working Conditions: Will follow the work hours of AERO Therapeutic Center.
