Detailed Description Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following: Maintains responsibility for global and /or regional critical or high dollar commodity or coordination of group of commodity managers. Leads the Customer Materials Commitment process from materials pricing and customer BOM analysis and have global custom responsibility including performance reporting to senior management. Quotes and negotiates critical high dollar or strategic commodities or provide the direction to team of commodity managers. Provides leadership in the analysis of costed customer bids or quarterly BOM Costing exercises for global customers. Negotiates strategic supplier or service agreements, as well as, other critical supplier agreements. Provides direction to Commodity Management Teams on contract negotiations. Manages the supplier relationship including performance feedback, supplier report card and problem resolution. Conducts quarterly business reviews with senior management at key/strategic suppliers. Provides leadership and direction with respect to interaction with suppliers. Leads process development and development of commodity strategies. Knowledge, Skills & Competencies Expert knowledge of the marketplace conditions for a broad range of strategic commodities, industry pricing, technology, supply/demand and emerging trends.
