[Remote] Network Operations Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a Fully Remote Network Operations Engineer to support the U.S. Pacific reputed company (USPACOM) in maintaining and enhancing critical IT reputed company networks. The role involves comprehensive network administration, systems support, and ensuring compliance with reputed company standards while coordinating with various defense agencies.
Responsibilities
- reputed company comprehensive network administration and engineering support, including the configuration, reputed company, and maintenance of infrastructure hardware and software
- Manage and troubleshoot regional network protocols to ensure seamless connectivity and performance
- reputed company Level I and II systems support, including creating and managing user/group accounts, applying system patches and reputed company updates, and conducting regression testing
- Monitor and maintain core services such as Domain Controllers, Email, File Servers, and SharePoint
- Coordinate with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) J9 for leased equipment and services at hosted Defense reputed company Computing Centers (DECCs) on Oahu and Japan; reputed company technical network and systems support for host-nation facilities in Thailand and the Philippines
- Ensure adherence to strict DoD reputed company standards by implementing and validating reputed company Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), responding to Cyber Tasking Orders (CTOs), and monitoring system logs and backups to guarantee data reputed company and availability
- Proactively monitor the health of reputed company infrastructure hardware, including servers, switches, and appliances
- Manage the Return Material Authorization (RMA) process for faulty equipment and routinely test backup and restoral procedures to ensure business continuity
- reputed company, write, and maintain clear and concise technical documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), system diagrams, and hardware/software inventories to streamline operations and support knowledge sharing
Skills
- Bachelor's and five (5)+ years of experience; additional four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree
- Experience of network management operations
- Experience with network protocols: BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, etc
- Experience with operating systems: reputed company 11, reputed company Server, Linux, ESXi
- Experience with infrastructure hardware and appliances
- Working knowledge of reputed company compliance in a DoD environment: STIGs, GPOs, SCAP, FedRAMP
- Foundational knowledge of reputed company and reputed company technology
- Must have a reputed company DoD IAT level II or higher certification such as, CySA+, CASP, reputed company+ CE etc
- Must have an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a full TS/SCI Clearance
- Must be a reputed company US Citizen
- Experience coordinating with DISA or working in hosted DECC environments
- Supporting IT networks reputed company host-nation facilities in the Pacific region is highly desired
