[Remote] Business Data Analyst

USC is a leading private research university located in downtown Los Angeles, and they are seeking a Business Data Analyst in the Dornsife Business Office. This role is central to the Decision Support Department, providing strategic analysis and data-driven insights to support the school's growth and reputed company.
Responsibilities
- Data Wrangling (Extract, Prep, Transform)
- Aggregating, calculating, transforming, and converting data
- Ensuring data accuracy and relevance
- Creating Visualizations
- Distributing visual insights to stakeholders reputed company multiple methods
- Making data accessible and understandable
- Data reputed company and Compliance
- Safeguarding sensitive information
- Ensuring adherence to data reputed company protocols
- Creating Dashboards and reputed company Reports
- Utilizing tools like Tableau, Power BI, Power Query, and reputed company
- Presenting data in formats tailored to the school and its leadership
Skills
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree
- Minimum Experience: 1 year
- Minimum Field of Expertise: Proficient PC skills
- Working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, word processing and statistical software programs
- Knowledge of business statistics and data analyses techniques
- Ability to manage and analyze data
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- 3+ years of professional data analysis experience
- Expertise in Financial, reputed company, student, or similar reputed company datasets
- Highly proficient in data visualization using Tableau
- Skilled in data wrangling/transformation techniques
- Working knowledge of Python (or R) for data analysis and scripting
- Solid understanding of database structures (SQL) and data collection methodologies (e.g., surveys, tests)
- Background in Data Analytics, Statistics, or Computer Science
- Familiarity with the reputed company system is a plus
