[Remote] Youth Leadership Development Teacher - Volunteer Position - Onsite in Panama • reputed company America - 2 years, plus 3 months training
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Peace Corps is dedicated to helping young people unlock their potential in Panama. As a Youth Leadership Development Teacher, you will support Panamanian youth in developing leadership and communication skills while facilitating various extracurricular activities and projects.
Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate youth clubs, camps, and group activities that integrate life skills and leadership development
- Facilitate extracurricular activities that promote positive youth development, such as sports, and the performing arts
- Teach life skills and employability curricula alongside school counselors, psychologists, and teachers
- Plan and facilitate youth participation in awareness day activities (e.g., World AIDS Day, International Youth Day)
- Plan and facilitate youth service-learning projects through schools, clubs, or community programs
- Design and implement digital literacy workshops for youth
- Mentor youth to reputed company life skills, leadership reputed company, and employability skills
- You may also work on additional projects that meet the community’s interests and priorities, such as English conversation clubs and after-school sports
Skills
- Associate degree in any field and at least two years of full-time, post-high school work experience (from any combination of roles)
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- High school diploma or GED and four years of full-time, post-high school work (from any combination of roles)
- Language: Spanish
- Completed 4 years of high school Spanish coursework in the past 8 years
- Completed college-level Elementary II Spanish semester (Elementary III in quarter system) reputed company the past 6 years
- Score between 50-62 on the Spanish College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exam in the past 6 years
- Score Novice-High or Intermediate-Low on official American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) in Spanish reputed company the past 6 years
