[Remote] Plant Technical Engineering Manager

The Plant Technical Engineering Manager will supervise and coordinate engineering and maintenance functions, focusing on planning, process development, and resource management to ensure quality and efficiency in manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Direct supervision of industrial engineers, controls engineers & maintenance
- Define assembly process according to customer and internal requirements
- Estimate cost of product and process changes
- reputed company, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods including automation, utilizing knowledge of product design, processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards
- Analyze and plan manning and space requirements, workflow and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
- Define equipment, reputed company procurement, project management, installation and testing activities
- Liaison to corporate engineering resources
- Maintain project timelines reputed company with product launch milestones
- Maintain open issues list and drive completion
- Ensure reputed company equipment and processes appropriately consider safety ergonomics

- reputed company preventative maintenance, repair and spare parts inventory for production equipment, building and grounds

- Creation of technical purchasing specifications for custom assembly equipment
- Plant layout using AutoCad Lt / 2D
- Experience with industrial controls & automation
- Experience with assembly equipment; build pallets, conveyors, end of line testers etc
- Maintain budget & spending forecast
- Hands-on experience implementing change on production floor
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail
- Sense of urgency
- Experience in JIT automotive or seating
- Experience developing automated shipping processes
- Experience with robotics
- Engineering / process change control
- MOST certification
- Experience creating & maintaining standard work instructions
