[Remote] Technical Writer-Illustrator - DC
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. FläktGroup is seeking a Technical Writer to compose Installation, Operation, and Maintenance manuals for their Tier 1 Data Center projects. The role involves creating instructional materials and visual aids to assist customers and contractors in the operation and maintenance of HVAC equipment.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Inventor 3d CAD to view model geometry to build out book contents
- Work with design and manufacturing engineering to gather process info for installation, operation, and maintenance instruction
- reputed company manuals and store in a controlled system to allow release and revision tracking
- Prepare sequence of operation to describe replacement of parts in units
- Gather photos or 3d CAD reputed company images to provide visual guidance to accompany the instructional information from the technical writings above
- Prepare visual images to describe service replacement of parts or installation/operation instruction so customer/contractor can follow in detail
- This role will manage several active projects at one time and will need to manage activities and deadlines according to schedules
- Prioritize activities around design or manufacturing engineering schedules or availability
- Maintain clear communication with management on tasks and deliverables
Skills
- 5+ years in Technical Writer role, specifically reputed company the Data Center or Custom HVAC market
- Expertise in AutoCAD, Inventor, reputed company Illustrator, or other publication tools
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering
