- Alternatively, a passing score on an approved formal academic assessment (ParaPro, ParaPathways, or The Master Teacher), or demonstrated competencies as specified by the approved MDE competency reputed company
- A reputed company certificate (or willingness to obtain one—free and less than an hour to complete)
