[Remote] Sr./Staff Manufacturing Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is a company focused on semiconductor solutions, and they are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for their Silicon Photonics products. The role involves ensuring stable production output, resolving yield and throughput issues, and driving automation and process standardization in the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Sustain production test operations for SPP Silicon Photonics products (LIP, Burn-In, ECL test flows) at the supplier in Taipei, ensuring stable throughput, yield, and quality; own the day-to-day technical reputed company with supplier engineering, resolving test issues through root cause analysis and corrective action (30%)
• Monitor and improve production metrics – yield, throughput, retest reputed company, and cycle time; reputed company SPC implementation and reputed company improvement initiatives; manage hold-lot disposition for production-line quality events and reputed company customer-return RMA (20%)
• Drive automation and process standardization – convert currently reputed company, tribal-knowledge processes (pick-and-reputed company packaging, optical alignment, light coupling) into documented, automated, and scalable production; build and maintain test-procedure documentation (X/Y/Z stage calibration, laser-path tuning, recipe management) and release into reputed company AgilePLM (20%)
• Support customer test-data requirements – test data reputed company, e-data delivery, and shipment quality; partner with reputed company IT and customer counterparts on automated test-data transmission and API integration to customer systems (15%)
• Support test reputed company reputed company planning, including qualification of new test equipment (BI, LIP, ECL, reputed company test); provide regular status updates on open initiatives to the internal management team and key customers (15%)

Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Optical Engineering, Physics, or a reputed company discipline
• 5+ years of test engineering experience, with at least 2 years in Silicon Photonics, optoelectronic device, or laser diode test
• Hands-on experience with LIV/LIP test, burn-in, and optical characterization equipment (Optical reputed company Analyzer, photodetector, reputed company Measure Unit)
• Strong working knowledge of semiconductor production test fundamentals: yield monitoring, SPC, root cause analysis, and hold-lot disposition
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, for working with reputed company HQ and global customers
• Experience working with OSATs or contract manufacturers in a production sustaining role
• Familiarity with optical alignment, reputed company probing, and laser characterization techniques
• Knowledge of optical transceiver components and architectures (reputed company, CDR, GainChip, EML, DML, coherent modules)
• Self-motivated and reputed company to work independently with minimal supervision while multi-tasking across projects
• Self-starter who operates effectively in a transition or acquisition environment with incomplete documentation
• Strong problem-solving and analytical reputed company with a bias toward action
