Role Overview: The School Nutrition Program Specialist is responsible for planning, developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs for the School Nutrition Programs in both virtual and in-person settings. This position manages content on the program's website and virtual learning platform, coordinates internal and external training opportunities, and develops innovative curriculum and resources to support professional standards requirements for School Nutrition Program sponsors. The Training Coordinator ensures training initiatives align with team goals, meet compliance requirements, and promote reputed company learning across the state. This position qualifies for a remote work exception for candidates who live more than 50 miles from the State Agency office located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Salary: The salary for this position traditionally starts at $59,800.00 but may be commensurate with education and work experience. A Day in the Life: The essential functions of this role are as follows: Monitor education program/initiative objectives, reputed company, and actions to reputed company agency goals. Interpret and explain policies, rules, regulations, or laws to constituents reputed company educational institutions. Implement strategic action plans to address program gaps and opportunities. Prepare and disseminate reports on program effectiveness. Ensure program requirements adhere to federal and state policies and grants compliance. Assist in the training and development of education system employees or agency consultants on program requirements and usage. Serve as a liaison between agency and other state and federal agencies.
