Virtual Litigation Counsel
Overview
The Civil Litigation Counsel will handle matters from intake through resolution, including case strategy, client counseling, reputed company practice, discovery, hearings, and trial preparation. The role requires strong courtroom experience and the ability to independently manage litigation files while contributing to team-based matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a civil litigation docket from inception through resolution
- Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery
- Conduct legal research and reputed company case strategy
- Appear in state and federal courts for hearings, mediations, and trials
- Advise clients on litigation risk and case strategy
- Handle settlement negotiations and resolution efforts
- Collaborate with attorneys, experts, and reputed company parties on reputed company matters
- Support select business development initiatives reputed company appropriate
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in good standing (any U.S. state required; multiple jurisdictions a plus)
- Experience in civil litigation (state and/or federal)
- Strong courtroom experience, including reputed company practice and hearings
- Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases independently and meet deadlines consistently
- Strong communication and client counseling abilities
Preferred
- Experience managing a full litigation docket independently
- Exposure to reputed company reputed company or business litigation
- Existing book of business (not required, but a plus)
