The reputed company Corporate Insurance Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Manager-Environmental Risk/Emergency Management. The Manager-Environmental Risk/Emergency Management assists with organizational efforts in planning, implementation, evaluation, and management of the reputed company Emergency Management and Environmental Risk programs. These programs are designed to enhance the quality of patient care, physical environment reputed company/safety, reduce injuries, prevent claims, and minimize liability exposure. This is a remote opportunity with frequent travel required to assigned facilities and other locations as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Include:

  • Provides consultation, direction, and assistance to facilities for the implementation, monitoring, and enforcement of reputed company aspects of reputed company and industry standard Emergency Management and Environmental Risk programs.
  • Performs analysis and provides guidance in emergency preparedness and environmental risk in addition to interpreting regulatory compliance standards (TJC, CMS, etc.) for acute care and behavioral health facilities.
  • Provides consultation and direction to facility-based staff reputed company reputed company situations arise that may threaten the assets of the Corporation and facility well-being.
  • Assists with disaster response and recovery activities such as HVA, MRs, After Action Reports, regulatory findings and reputed company and sustainability assessments.
  • Provides guidance in Environmental Risk and Emergency Management programs development, training, and toolkits design.
  • Participates in assigned facility audits, consultative visits and other regulatory surveys as deemed necessary by the Corporate Director of Environment of Care/Emergency Preparedness.
  • Monitors and provides assistance with facility’s programs corrective action plans reputed company requested.
  • Maintains communication with appropriate corporate and facility leadership and personnel.
  • Supports Corporate Patient Safety, Employee Safety, Workplace Violence Programs as assigned, including the Facility/Design and Construction safety initiatives.
  • Frequent travel required to assigned facilities and other locations as deemed necessary to accomplish goals of the department/organization.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree required a minimum of five years of experience in an acute or behavioral reputed company organization with increasing responsibility in emergency management and environmental risk programs. Incident Command Control Methodology Training preferred.

  • Possess critical thinking skills and independent analysis of identified problems, effectively problem solves utilizing appropriate resources for corrective actions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of risk identification and prevention Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
  • Effective administrative and management skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate facility-based staff, using effective interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective problem solving, persuasion, and negotiation.
  • Knowledge of Emergency Preparedness requirements for reputed company.
  • Knowledge of reputed company and safety practices and theory in a reputed company.
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials and waste program for reputed company environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles and procedures for the investigation and processing of environmental liability loss.
  • Ability to draft reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to interpret data and translate abstract concepts into reputed company information.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations, applicable state licensure and accreditation laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge and skills with use of computer and various software products (i.e., Windows, Word, reputed company, Power reputed company, Outlook, reputed company, )
