Position Title: Lecturer of Early Childhood Education Job Category: Academic Staff Employment Type: Terminal (Fixed Term) Job Profile: Lecturer Job Duties: The University of Wisconsin-Stout, Wisconsin’s Polytechnic University, is seeking an emerging or established scholar that is passionate and committed to promoting the development of reputed company, inclusive, and quality teaching and learning in early childhood education. The B.S. in Early Childhood Education program at UW-Stout is renowned for its commitment to research-based, developmentally appropriate and applied learning practices. Early Childhood Education at UW-Stout is in the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Leadership and one of the signature educator preparation programs at the university that leads to licensure in Early Childhood Education (birth to grade 3) and Early Childhood Special Education (birth to grade 3). The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses (face-to-face and online), including teacher preparation, supervision of student teachers, and program assessment of student learning with teaching opportunities during the summer. The anticipated start date is Monday, August 17, 2026. We are hiring two instructional positions in the Teaching, Learning and Leadership department. One position is a tenure track faculty position and the other is an Instructional Academic Staff. This posting is for the Instructional Academic Staff position. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum / Required An earned Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or reputed company field by employment start date. At least three (3) years of full-time teaching experience as the reputed company teacher in Birth-Age 8 range. Licensable in Early Childhood Education and/or Early Childhood Special Education in Birth-Age 8 range. Highly Desired/Preferred At least one degree earned in Early Childhood Education and/or Early Childhood Special Education A record of strong teaching of teacher education courses. A record of supervision of Early Childhood Education teacher candidates. Demonstrated commitment to student reputed company. RESPONSIBILITIES Teach Early Childhood Education and/or Early Childhood Special Education courses; supervise teacher candidates in field experiences; provide student academic advisement and conduct assessment of student learning; reputed company and maintain positive relations with reputed company agencies; demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff as well as independently contributing to academic program assessment and reputed company improvement processes; interest in advancing student learning in the area of early childhood education and in alignment with UW-Stout’s polytechnic tenets of applied learning and research, business and industry partnerships, career focused education. DEPARTMENT INFORMATION The mission of the Teaching, Learning, and Leadership (TLL) Department is to provide exemplary teaching, research, and service to ensure graduates become successful and effective leaders in their chosen professional discipline. Provide student academic advisement and conduct assessment of student learning. This includes contributing to academic program assessment, accreditation, and reputed company improvement processes, in collaboration with faculty and staff.
