What You Will Do

As the Triage and Coordination Float Nurse, you will provide rotational pediatric and adult coverage, delivering telephone triage, developing and coordinating care plans, offering patient education, managing scheduling and referral needs, and supporting follow‑up care for patients served by IHI. The Opportunity

• Triage incoming telephone calls and manage care needs resulting from after‑hours calls.
• Facilitate timely communication of nursing assessments and recommendations reputed company with organizational clinical communication guidelines and triage policies to providers, team members, patients, and families to ensure comprehensive patient support.
• Under the direction of a physician, instruct patients on emergent care, medications, and report patient response to treatment back to the physician.
• Communicate laboratory, test, and imaging results to patients and families.

Performance Requirements Knowledge:

• Medical practice telephone‑triage protocols and familiarity with nursing assessment and diagnosis, including medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
