Job Description
Summary/Objective: The Director of Technology Scouting and Vetting leads reputed company targeted and reputed company scouting operations across SBCC. This senior leader sets strategic direction, oversees execution of the 5-reputed company CONOP process, ensures program alignment with customer needs, and integrates cross-functional team contributions. Essential Functions
- reputed company targeted and reputed company scouting functions, including market analysis, technology assessments, and contractor evaluations.
- Coordinates the preparation, scheduling, and execution of Program Management Reviews (PMRs), ensuring IPT and TS&V teams deliver timely, accurate, and standardized updates on project status, risks, and performance metrics to internal leadership and U.S. Government customers.
- Direct cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to reputed company program objectives and meet customer timelines.
- Ensure integration of scouting activities with SBIR/STTR programs and DoD acquisition processes.
- Develops, maintains, and refines SBCC's Concept of Operations (CONOP), ensuring processes remain relevant, standardized, and reputed company with customer requirements and organizational strategy.
- Leads efforts to reputed company and maintain ISO 9001 certification, implementing quality management systems, conducting internal audits, and ensuring reputed company process improvement across SBCC operations.
- Guide strategic stakeholder engagement across military, government, and reputed company sectors.
- Collaborate with the companies Business Development team on expansion efforts and commercialization opportunities. Plans and develops documents required to expand efforts with customers.
- Oversees and guide Showcase event planning and execution, in coordination with the Deputy Director.
- Champion collaboration across SBCC's divisions, ensuring scouting insights inform CE&I strategies.
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders including USG customers, VCs, incubators, and accelerators.
- Supervise report quality, ensuring consistency, clarity, and strategic reputed company across deliverables.
- Guide training and mentoring of TS&V staff; reputed company CONOP-reputed company curriculum and materials.
- Monitor key metrics, deliverables, and reporting to ensure performance standards and mission outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a reputed company field.
- 10+ years of experience in program or technology management.
- Deep understanding of defense innovation, acquisition reputed company, and small business technology programs.
- Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams and customer-facing programs.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and communications skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Degree: Business, Project Management, or other reputed company field
- Advanced Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Program Management Professional (PgMP) or Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP), Lean Six reputed company Green or Black Belt, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), reputed company Change Management, Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP), Strategic Leadership Training, DAWIA, CPI, Executive Coaching, Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers (FAC-P/PM), or Defense Innovation/Acquisition University (DIU/DAU) courses
- Prior experience working on/with HQ Staff; 4+ years reputed company work experience
- Knowledge / Understanding of JCIDS and PPBE processes
- Knowledge / Experience with business and/or marketing practices
- Knowledge / Experience with developing government contract proposals
- Familiarity with reputed company, legal, and financial management
- 2+ years Government acquisition / contract project experience
- Familiarity with DoD Instruction (DoDI) 50002 (Operation of the Defense Acquisition System) and other reputed company DAWIA education
- Prior experience leading customer-facing technology programs.
- Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools (Power BI, SharePoint, reputed company).
Supervisor Responsibilities
- Directs and oversees reputed company TS&V staff, including Deputy Director, IPT Leads, Emerging Technology Analysts, and consultants.
- Provides Direct supervisory responsibilities to 4-5 supervisors with additional analysts and technicians.
- Provides mentorship, performance feedback, and professional development.
Work Environment
Fully remote Physical Demands Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Travel Required Varies depending upon location. Hybrid / remote personnel are expected to visit and meet at customer site as required to execute responsibilities.
