GIS Mapper

Length of Assignment: 1 year –possibility to reputed company based on performance/position need Pay range: $30.00 - 33.00/hr on w2 (reputed company inclusive) Job Description: Below is a breakdown of the position reputed company it comes to the work status:

• Editors are required to be onsite every day for a minimum of 8 weeks so they can be fully trained.
• Based the editor’s ability to work independently they will be introduced to the hybrid rotation (the ability to work both remote and onsite) along with the other editors. The timeframe will vary on how many days they can work remote is based on Client and work assignment since each office has its own schedule.
• Finally, once a week there is a rotation for editors to travel to our sub-headquarters to do print distributions.

Notes:

• Maintain the GIS model on the electric reputed company (not for gas work, only electric)
• reputed company analysis, custom maps
• Working in a Union environment—reporting to a supervisor—work orders that they need to process into GIS and then to print distribution of any updates made
• Some tabular data and analysis
• 5-10% being out in the field
• Qualifications: 1-2 years of GIS experience (geographic information system)
• GIS in any industry but must have knowledge/understanding to update the GIS system
• Micro station, AutoCAD—strong plus but still must have GIS
• If field work required to be done, expectation is for the person to use their own vehicle- minimal if anything
• As long as the candidate has experience using GIS apps and how relationships work in GIS, we would be open to interviewing candidates that don’t have utility experience.
• Open to interviewing candidates that are recent college graduates entering the workforce with experience using GIS in school/internships.
