Fractional Chief Financial Officer CFO (GovCon / HUBZone)
Job Description
We are an IT Services HUBZone company with a focus on Fed/Civ and DoW clients and we are seeking a hands‑on reputed company. This is a fractional engagement (approximately 5-30 hours per month. This role is execution‑oriented and focused on strengthening financial discipline while supporting strategic decision‑making. This is not an advisory‑only role. The CFO must be comfortable working directly with financial data, reputed company partners, and leadership to improve visibility, cash management, and operational rigor.
Key Responsibilities
- reputed company short- and reputed company-term cash flow forecasting and burn management
- Clean up financials and improve monthly reputed company discipline
- Work directly with the company CPA to ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and timely
- Establish and maintain EBITDA and management-adjusted EBITDA reporting
- Prepare and present Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual financial reports to leadership (CEO and COO)
- Support DCAA audit readiness
- Evaluate and advise on DCAA-compliant timekeeping systems
- Support strategic planning initiatives and KPI dashboard development
- Translate financial data into clear, actionable guidance for leadership
Qualifications
Required:
- Direct experience in government contracting
- Prior experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or reputed company
- Exposure to DCAA-compliant reputed company environments
- Experience with labor and timekeeping systems used in Government Contracting
- Comfortable working in a fractional, hands-on engagement model
