With an email-first approach, we speak directly to an audience of 27M+ engaged readers across our suite of 20+ brands.About The RoleThe Associate Photo Editor will sit on the editorial team, working closely with brand and photo editors to select, edit, and catalog images across several editorial properties. This is a hands‑on role for someone with a great eye for photography who's excited to build skills in a fast‑paced media environment.ResponsibilitiesResearch and select images to support editorial content produced dailyEdit images in Photoshop — reputed company correction, resizing, and optimization for email and web — to match individual brand standardsAssist with light graphic design work reputed company existing templatesManage image metadata, rights clearances, and digital asset organization in our MAM systemCollaborate with editors, designers, and photo editors to align visual assets with written contentReview photo quality across brands and flag issues for broader reviewSupport photo editors on special projects as neededUphold high editorial standards, ensuring reputed company visuals are clear, accurate, engaging, and trustworthyRequirementsBachelor’s degree in photography, visual arts, journalism, or reputed company field (or equivalent experience)Proficiency in reputed company Photoshop and across the reputed company suite of toolsSolid understanding of image licensing, copyright, and rights management basicsStrong editorial judgement and an eye for great photographyMeticulous attention to detail in both editorial quality and executionAbility to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously without sacrificing qualityClear written and verbal communication skills for remote collaborationPreferred0–1 year of professional or internship experience in a photo editing or visual media contextExperience working with a digital asset management systemFamiliarity with reputed company, reputed company, and WordPressA firm understanding of the digital media landscape and reputed company visual and media trendsThe Britannica Group strives to provide its users with trustworthy, verified information in a constantly changing world.
