Manager, Connecticut

The Manager, CEE Connecticut is an experienced educational professional with a finger on the pulse of the state of Connecticut education. The Manager will operate as CEE’s on-the-ground presence, build and grow CEE’s programming efforts within the state, and strategically cultivate relationships within the local education community. This role organizes and conducts professional development programming for K–12 teachers, which enables more competent and confident teachers of economics and personal finance. Responsibilities also include delivering direct-to-student programming, specifically Invest in Girls (IIG), the National Economics Challenge (NEC), the National Investment Challenge (NIC) and the National Personal Finance Challenge (NPFC). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and convener for key stakeholders across Connecticut’s education community, including district leaders, nonprofits, and partner organizations, to advance economics and financial literacy education.
  • Create, coordinate, and lead teacher professional development programs, including train-the-trainer models, with a goal of training 400+ educators annually.
  • Conduct outreach and cultivate a cadre of qualified K–12 educators to expand professional development capacity and extend reach into every district to implement CEE programs that support their needs.
  • Lead the planning and execution of professional development and academic competition events, including logistics, venue coordination, and vendor management.
  • Grow CEE programs for high school students including the National Economic Competition (NEC), National Personal Finance Competition (NPFC), National Investment Challenge (NIC), and Invest in Girls (IIG).
  • Work closely with CEE staff to develop and execute a growth plan that is aligned to CEE’s organizational objectives.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 6–8 years of experience in the Connecticut K–12 education space, with a strong understanding of regional education systems, educator needs, and school/district dynamics.
  • Classroom teaching experience in economics, personal finance, business, or related subject areas.
  • Classroom teaching experience in a Connecticut public school is preferred.
  • Expertise in Connecticut learning standards and curriculum implementation.
  • Experience building, managing, and sustaining relationships with funders, strategic partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Experience presenting to educators and designing/facilitating professional development programs.
  • Strong oral and written communication, organization, and presentation skills.
  • A dynamic individual with the willingness and ability to conduct face-to-face outreach within the community.
  • Ability to implement programs independently while also having a collaborative approach, both leading and working as part of a team.
  • Some regional travel in Connecticut required including representing CEE at state conferences and events.

SALARY AND BENEFITS This is a part-time position, with expected working hours of 20-25 hours per week. The hourly rate is based on and commensurate with background and experience. No benefits are provided as this is a part-time position. Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
