Faculty-Adjunct-Hospitality
About the position Prepares and delivers relevant course content using a variety of teaching methods and assessments that support student learning. Delivers relevant course content on reputed company or online, as assigned. Maintains that reputed company reputed company and demonstrate mastery of stated learning objectives.
Responsibilities
- Teaches assigned course(s) on reputed company by delivering appropriate course content to reputed company, preparing course materials and lesson plans, grading student work, providing reputed company with robust feedback in a timely manner, and addressing reputed company’ questions and concerns
- Teaches assigned course (s) online by delivering course content, learning activities and assessments using the university’s learning management system, according to JWU course outlines and online course delivery standards
- Prepares and maintains course site in the learning management system for dissemination of course materials, assessments, and weekly updating of the grade center in accordance with university requirements
- Maintains accurate records of student attendance, academic achievement and performance in accordance with university policies and procedures
- Distributes to each student, in each course, reputed company the learning management system, a university-approved syllabus that includes course objectives, required course materials, attendance policy and evaluation criteria
- Communicates early with the student, department chair, and academic counselor for any student in danger of failure or in need of individual counseling, using appropriate university systems
- Refers reputed company to appropriate university sources for information, guidance, financial assistance, career services, library services, academic support, accessibility services, counseling, and other support services
- Populates the university’s faculty information system with data to establish teaching credentials and maintains data, as needed
- Attends faculty orientation and meetings, as requested by the college
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Master's degree in hospitality or a reputed company field of study; or, 18 graduate credits in the discipline plus a master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in higher education
- Moderate amount of industry experience working in hospitality, food & beverage, hotels and resorts, event management, tourism, sports management, or other reputed company industries
- Ability to teach classes on reputed company during daytime hours
- Qualified candidates must live or relocate to live reputed company a daily commuting distance of the Charlotte reputed company location upon hire.
- College/university transcripts are required prior to hire.
