Geriatric Medicine Reviewer
Maximus is seeking a 100% remote Geriatric Medicine MD/DO Reviewer for a supplemental income opportunity. This role involves conducting medical expert judgment reviews to determine final decisions on treatment coverage denials by the CA DMHC, based on medical necessity and whether treatments are experimental/investigational. The position offers flexibility with training scheduled around the reviewer's availability. Practice Info

- Expert Reviewers must use their own personal computer to access a web-based portal
- Templates will be used to complete reviews
Responsibilities
- Conduct Medical Expert Judgment Reviews to determine final decisions based on enrollee’s denial of treatment-coverage denied by the CA DMHC
- Perform reviews based on Medical Necessity and Experimental/Investigational criteria
Compensation
- Rates per case: $150-$400 per case
Shift & Schedule
- Scheduled Training- based on reviewer’s schedule
Requirements
- Active license
- A minimum of 24 hours of direct patient care per week
- 5 years’ experience in appropriate specialty post training
- Board Certification
- No visa sponsorship available
