Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement cutting-edge quantitative trading algorithms and strategies. Conduct rigorous statistical analysis and backtesting of trading models using historical and real-time market data. Optimize algorithm performance for speed, accuracy, and profitability across various asset classes. Collaborate with software engineers to integrate trading strategies into production systems. Research and identify new trading opportunities and market inefficiencies. Monitor and manage the performance of live trading strategies, making necessary adjustments. Stay abreast of the latest academic research and industry trends in quantitative finance and machine learning. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior quantitative analysts. Contribute to the firm's intellectual property through innovation and documentation. Ensure the robustness and risk management of all developed trading systems.

Requirements

Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or Financial Engineering. Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in quantitative analysis, algorithmic trading, or related financial modeling roles. Demonstrated expertise in statistical modeling, time series analysis, machine learning, and stochastic calculus. Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in quant finance, such as Python, C++, or R. Experience with large datasets and database management. Strong understanding of financial markets, trading mechanics, and various asset classes. Proven ability to translate complex mathematical concepts into practical trading strategies. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Experience leading projects and mentoring team members is highly desirable. Familiarity with high-frequency trading environments and low-latency systems is a plus. A keen interest in financial markets and trading in Boise, Idaho or globally.
