[Remote] Data Analytics Consultant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Umbrex is a boutique consulting firm seeking a Data Analytics Consultant to support a potential enterprise data analytics engagement. The role involves leading the design and implementation of a modern analytics platform using Microsoft Fabric to enhance enterprise reporting and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, planning, and delivery of Microsoft Fabric-based data analytics and reporting solutions
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data architecture and implementation plans
- Oversee data platform development activities, including data integration, modeling, governance, reporting, and analytics enablement
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including data engineers, architects, business analysts, and client stakeholders
- Drive project timelines, risk management, stakeholder communications, and executive status reporting
- Support analytics modernization initiatives and help establish best practices for data management, reporting, and self-service analytics
- Guide testing, deployment, user adoption, and change management activities throughout project execution
- Provide strategic recommendations on Microsoft Fabric architecture, scalability, performance, and governance
Skills
- Deep expertise with Microsoft Fabric
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise data and analytics platforms
- Data architecture and data engineering experience
- Analytics consulting experience
- Experience leading or supporting large-scale data transformation initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Project management experience within analytics or data platform programs
- Experience in retail, manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments
- Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or broader Microsoft data ecosystem expertise
- Experience leading cross-functional analytics transformation programs
