When you join our team, you become part of a collaborative community that is reshaping the future of clinical quality improvement.

Position Overview

We are currently hiring a dedicated and capable Data Entry Clerk (Level 1) to support our Quality Registry Manager, Data Entry Coordinators, and Data Entry Clerk Level 2 team members. This role is integral to our mission of gathering, maintaining, and validating patient-reported outcomes that fuel clinical research and quality improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of our clinical databases while supporting the broader goals of our quality and research departments.

In this dynamic position, you will have the opportunity to engage directly with patients through phone interviews, contribute to meaningful research efforts, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Your attention to detail, commitment to patient privacy, and drive for excellence will directly impact the quality of care we provide and the research we conduct.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Clerk at arenaflex, your day-to-day contributions will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities designed to support our quality improvement mission:

  • Patient Engagement and Data Collection: Conduct professional phone interviews with patients enrolled in our quality registries to collect patient-reported outcomes for clinical improvement and research purposes. You will serve as a critical touchpoint between our organization and the patients we serve, requiring exceptional customer service skills and the ability to build rapport quickly over the phone.
  • Database Maintenance and Management: Accurately input and maintain clinical databases with a high degree of precision and efficiency. You will leverage technology and innovative tools to facilitate and improve the accuracy of data collection processes, ensuring that our databases remain reliable sources of truth for clinical decision-making and research analysis.
  • Data Quality Monitoring: Continuously monitor data quality within our databases and provide immediate, constructive feedback to your department supervisor when discrepancies or concerns arise. Your vigilance will help maintain the integrity of our research and quality improvement efforts.
  • Quality Improvement Support: Assist the Quality Manager in all activities associated with quality improvement initiatives, data collection projects, and data validation processes. You will be a key contributor to projects that directly influence patient care standards and clinical outcomes.
  • Compliance and Timeliness: Ensure that all work is completed in a timely manner in full compliance with departmental policies and procedures. You will be responsible for adhering to patient privacy protection policies under HIPAA and other relevant regulatory frameworks, safeguarding sensitive patient information at all times.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Interact and work collaboratively with the quality team, principal investigators, residents, and the clinical research team. Your ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with diverse stakeholders will be essential to your success in this role.
  • Additional Duties: Take on other responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the evolving needs of the department and organization.

  • Customer Service Excellence: Demonstrated exceptional customer service abilities, with a genuine commitment to delivering positive patient experiences. Your communication skills will be put to use daily as you interact with patients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Outstanding attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy while working efficiently. The nature of clinical data demands precision, and we are looking for individuals who take pride in getting things right the first time.
