[Remote] Interoperability / FHIR Analyst

The Interoperability / FHIR Analyst will design, configure, and support HL7 FHIR-based solutions while collaborating with engineering teams and clients to optimize interoperability and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and support HL7 FHIR–based solutions
  • Analyze interoperability requirements, mapping data elements to FHIR resources and implementation guides (e.g., DaVinci)
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on interface design and testing
  • Troubleshoot data exchange issues
  • Validate conformance to regulatory and industry standards (such as CMS-0057-F)
  • Document integration specifications and workflows
  • Work directly with clients and internal stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and help optimize interoperability, security, and performance across BNETAL’s gateway and EDI solutions

Skills

  • Experience with healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7 FHIR (R4 preferred), DaVinci implementation guides, HL7 v2/v3, and related healthcare data exchange frameworks
  • Hands-on skills in healthcare data formats and transactions, such as X12 EDI, RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML for integration, mapping, validation, and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of regulatory and industry requirements, including CMS interoperability rules (e.g., CMS-0057-F), DaVinci profiles and related compliance frameworks
  • Background in security and connectivity concepts relevant to health IT, such as authentication, authorization, certificate management, TLS, and secure gateway or API management
  • Proficiency with technical analysis and problem solving, including requirements gathering, data analysis, test planning, defect tracking, and root-cause investigation
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities
