Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Customer Service Representative with arenaflex, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Processing MD Medicaid accounts and providing information and assistance to individuals, families, and small group employees
  • Utilizing the State's eligibility and enrollment portal and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to perform tasks and duties for Health Insurance Exchange (HIX) customers
  • Ensuring delivery of high-quality service to all Maryland consumers, addressing their queries and concerns in a courteous and effective manner
  • Working collaboratively with the Customer Support Center (CSC) team to achieve goals and objectives, promoting a positive and supportive work environment
  • Maintaining accurate records and data entry, adhering to established procedures and guidelines
  • Participating in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Reside in the State of Maryland
  • Have recent call center experience, preferably in a healthcare or customer service environment
  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification; other combinations of education and experience will be considered
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to work comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment, executing multiple complex tasks simultaneously
  • Have experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse and disadvantaged populations, providing courteous and effective support

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Background in healthcare, human services, or customer service
  • Experience with data entry and call center software applications
  • Familiarity with Maryland Medicaid programs and services
  • Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
