[Remote] Sales Director (Retail Background) - Remote Work

They are seeking a Sales Director to source, nurture, and close new clients in the retail sector, focusing on building strong relationships and managing complex sales cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong, long-lasting relationships with midsize to enterprise-level clients, with a remit across industries and a primary focus on Consumer (Retail, E-commerce, and Omnichannel) industries
  • Originate and nurture business relationships resulting in engagement opportunities
  • Present BairesDev's unique value proposition tailored to the needs of our potential clients' senior executives
  • Develop strong, long-lasting relationships with potential clients
  • Scope projects, shape engagements, and help define business solutions that satisfy client's needs and achieve their desired business outcomes
  • Plan, implement, and manage lead generation, sales activities, and pipelines to meet annual revenue targets and business goals
  • Plan resources, organize and mobilize teams (including solution design, UX, technical, engagement management, staffing, and delivery teams) throughout the complex sales cycle
  • Understand and assist in managing and mitigating key risks through tactical plans and actions

Skills

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Retail, E-commerce, or Consumer Goods sectors with exposure to technology solutions and digital transformation initiatives
  • Strong experience in business development, key account management, or vendor relations within the retail sector
  • Proven success in sourcing, nurturing, and closing midsize and Enterprise accounts within retail or consumer markets
  • Excellent understanding of the Retail industry, including key players, strategies, client structure, business models, sub-verticals, needs, challenges, and key trends
  • Demonstrated strategic, creative, and analytical approach with a focus on initiating and building client relationships
  • Must have a strong understanding of retail systems, customer data platforms, inventory management, and technological challenges commonly faced in the retail industry
  • Ability to deliver compelling presentations tailored to the needs of our potential clients
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
  • Native English or fully bilingual (English)
