Job Summary United Healthcare is seeking compassionate and motivated Nursing Students to join our care teams as Weekend Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). This role is ideal for students currently pursuing a nursing degree who are looking to gain hands-on clinical experience while working flexible weekend shifts. As a Weekend CNA, you will support licensed nurses in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across our healthcare facilities while balancing your academic commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • * Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • * Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and report changes in patient conditions to nursing staff
  • * Support nurses with basic clinical tasks and patient care procedures
  • * Ensure patient comfort, safety, and dignity at all times
  • * Maintain clean and organized patient rooms and care areas
  • * Respond promptly to patient needs and call lights
  • * Follow infection control protocols and healthcare safety standards
  • * Document care activities accurately and in a timely manner
  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • * Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program (LPN or RN preferred)
  • * Active CNA certification or eligibility as per state regulations
  • * Basic understanding of patient care principles and medical terminology
  • * Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • * Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
  • * Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience
  • * Prior clinical or healthcare experience is preferred but not required
  • * Nursing students with completed foundational clinical coursework are encouraged to apply
  • * On-the-job orientation and training will be provided
  • Working Hours
  • * Weekend shifts only (Saturday and Sunday)
  • * Day, evening, and overnight shifts available depending on facility needs
  • * Flexible scheduling designed to accommodate academic commitments

  • * Knowledge of basic nursing care and patient safety practices
  • * Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and transferring patients
