Position Overview

The Student Success Coach role at arenaflex is a remote, full‑time position dedicated to guiding students through every stage of their academic journey. You will serve as a trusted mentor, proactive problem‑solver, and enthusiastic cheerleader, helping learners overcome obstacles, develop essential study skills, and stay on track toward graduation. Your daily interactions will be conducted via phone, email, and our secure student portal, ensuring that each student feels heard, valued, and equipped for success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Student Outreach & Coaching: Conduct regular, scheduled outreach (daily, weekly, and as needed) to a designated cohort of students, providing motivation, accountability, and personalized guidance.
  • Academic Advising: Assist students in selecting courses, understanding degree requirements, and navigating academic policies to ensure timely progress toward their credentials.
  • Retention & Success Initiatives: Implement proactive retention strategies, identify at‑risk learners early, and collaborate with internal teams to intervene before challenges become barriers.
  • Resource Navigation: Educate students on the full suite of arenaflex resources—including tutoring centers, library services, technology tools, and career development platforms—to maximize their learning experience.
  • Resume & Career Support: Earn certification as a professional resume reviewer and provide individualized resume critiques, interview preparation, and career‑planning advice.
  • Liaison Functions: Act as the primary point of contact between students and various arenaflex departments (e.g., admissions, financial aid, technical support), ensuring seamless communication and swift resolution of inquiries.
  • Data‑Driven Documentation: Accurately record all student interactions in the CRM system, track progress metrics, and generate reports that inform continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (or international equivalent) recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in academic advising, admissions support, customer service, human resources, counseling, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of academic policies, degree pathways, and student lifecycle processes.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a warm, professional phone demeanor.
