Our client, a leading innovator in online education, is seeking a creative and experienced Remote Curriculum Developer specializing in STEM subjects. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute to shaping the future of education from anywhere. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and revising engaging and effective STEM curriculum for various educational levels, from K-12 to higher education. The ideal candidate possesses a strong pedagogical background, a deep understanding of STEM principles, and a passion for creating accessible and impactful learning experiences. You will work collaboratively with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and multimedia specialists to produce high-quality course content, including lesson plans, assessments, interactive modules, and educational resources. This role requires excellent writing skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate complex scientific and mathematical concepts into clear, concise, and student-friendly materials.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop comprehensive STEM curriculum aligned with educational standards and learning objectives. Create engaging instructional materials, including lesson plans, student activities, and assessments. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy and depth of content. Incorporate best practices in instructional design and learning theory into curriculum development. Develop multimedia elements, simulations, and interactive activities to enhance learning. Write clear, concise, and accurate explanations of scientific and mathematical concepts. Review and revise existing curriculum to ensure relevance, effectiveness, and engagement. Manage curriculum development projects, adhering to timelines and quality benchmarks. Contribute to the creation of professional development resources for educators. Stay current with advancements in STEM education and educational technology.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), or a closely related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience in curriculum development, with a specific focus on STEM subjects. Proven ability to design and develop engaging and effective learning materials for diverse audiences. Strong understanding of learning theories and instructional design principles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for simplifying complex topics. Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and online educational platforms. Proficiency in multimedia development tools or experience working with multimedia teams is a plus. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a remote setting. A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
