Our mission is to empower creators, developers, and partners with the tools they need to bring compelling content to life. Joining arenaflex means becoming part of a vibrant, forward‑thinking community that values innovation, collaboration, and personal growth.

Why This Role Matters

The External Support Engineer serves as the critical bridge between arenaflex’s external content creation teams and the internal tools engineering group. In this role, you will be the first line of assistance when creators encounter challenges with the suite of tools that power our platform. By providing timely, knowledgeable support, you help ensure that content teams can focus on what they do best—producing engaging, high‑quality experiences for our audience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Deliver prompt, effective assistance to external content teams using arenaflex’s proprietary content tools, diagnosing issues, and guiding users through resolutions.
  • Documentation & Training: Create clear, concise reference materials, tutorials, and training sessions that enable partners to quickly become proficient with the toolset.
  • Issue Resolution: Debug and troubleshoot tool‑related problems, applying systematic problem‑solving techniques to restore functionality with minimal disruption.
  • Escalation Management: Identify complex or high‑impact issues, log them in arenaflex’s issue‑tracking system, and collaborate with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Advocacy & Feedback: Gather feedback from external teams, champion their suggestions, and work with product engineers to prioritize enhancements that improve workflow efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Partner with fellow engineers, product managers, and quality assurance specialists to design and refine tools that meet the evolving needs of creators.
  • Cross‑Disciplinary Leadership: Facilitate dialogues between design, engineering, and content teams, driving feature concepts from inception through delivery.
  • Professionalism: Model reliability, accountability, and a customer‑centric attitude in all interactions, fostering trust and confidence among partners.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Technical Foundations: Ability to read, understand, and interpret C# code, enabling effective communication with development teams.
  • Support Experience: Demonstrated experience supporting live services or tool environments, preferably within a fast‑paced, remote setting.
  • Tool Development Exposure: Familiarity with arenaflex’s internal tool development processes, including experience with arenaflex’s issue‑tracking platform (formerly known as Jira) and documentation hub (formerly known as Confluence).
  • Mobile Development Insight: Basic understanding of mobile development concepts for arenaflex’s mobile platforms (formerly iOS and Android), allowing you to empathize with cross‑platform challenges.
  • Production‑Level Coding: At least 5 years of delivering production‑ready code in a professional environment, showcasing a track record of quality and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands‑on experience with arenaflex’s 3D content creation pipeline (formerly Unity 3D), including asset import, scene management, and tool integration.
  • Prior work in a remote or distributed team, demonstrating strong self‑management and communication skills.
  • Experience creating technical documentation, knowledge bases, or video tutorials for a diverse audience.
  • Exposure to agile methodologies and familiarity with sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Passion for entertainment technology, streaming media, or interactive content creation.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a talent for translating technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non‑technical partners.
  • Problem‑Solving: Strong analytical mindset, capable of diagnosing root causes quickly and proposing effective work‑arounds.
  • Organization: Exceptional organizational skills, enabling you to juggle multiple support tickets, training sessions, and documentation updates simultaneously.
  • Self‑Motivation: Proactive and self‑driven, with the ability to prioritize tasks, set realistic deadlines, and deliver results without constant supervision.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work constructively with cross‑functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing.
  • Positive Attitude: A growth‑oriented mindset that welcomes feedback, embraces continuous learning, and contributes to a supportive team culture.
