Remote Procurement Officer

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Procurement Officer to manage sourcing and purchasing activities entirely from a remote location. This role is critical for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, managing supplier relationships, and contributing to the optimization of the company's supply chain. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, possess excellent communication skills, and have a proven track record in procurement, with the ability to thrive in a fully remote, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: Source, negotiate, and manage contracts for a variety of goods and services, ensuring optimal pricing and terms. Develop and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of suppliers, assessing their capabilities and performance. Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities, emerging trends, and potential new suppliers. Process purchase requisitions and prepare purchase orders accurately and efficiently. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, ethical standards, and relevant regulations. Monitor supplier performance, address any issues, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery. Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across different departments to understand their needs and provide procurement support. Utilize procurement software and tools to manage the procure-to-pay process and maintain accurate records. Analyze procurement data to provide insights and support strategic decision-making. Prepare reports on procurement activities, savings achieved, and supplier performance metrics. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or strategic sourcing. Demonstrated ability to manage procurement processes independently in a remote setting. Strong negotiation and contract management skills. Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport remotely. Highly organized, self-disciplined, and capable of managing time effectively to meet deadlines. Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a distributed team.
